My Word!

Hello. This is my blog where I will publish my articles, aphorisms, work samples, and so on.

Hello everybody. Welcome to my world.

You may wonder why I have two worlds, that of the old and that of the young. Well, we interact with both ages every day. We draw inspiration from both every day. So it seems natural to me that we can and probably should write for both of these age groups, if we can indeed categorize them as groups, as well as for all the “other age groups.”

The older age group writing came to me out of necessity. As you see, from my wife suffering from Alzheimer’s. As for the two listed younger age group books, I wrote them decades ago. I still think the experiences of the characters in them apply.

I hope this makes sense to you.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

My Aphorisms:

In the 1960s, while teaching Liberal Studies at Acton Tech in London, England, I wrote pages of aphorisms. Then I hired a girl to type them out. They sat in my desk drawer until we moved to Worthing where I signed on as a reporter, covering general news, courts, and city hall. Here is an aphorism that has inspired me to write today. It’s only common sense, but the follow-through is sometimes tough.

“What you start, you must finish.”

Right now, I have started this web site, and I am working to finish it (at least in its initial working stages). I plan to add aphorisms as I go.

Thank you for listening.
