My Many Weather Friend
My all weather friend, you’re a friend indeed,
You are my many weather friend in need.
You were there for me in summer,
You were there for me in fall,
You were there for me in springtime,
And you were there for my winter’s fall.
And much more than that,
You were there for me in life’s cold storm
When my heart and the season froze,
And you were left to mourn.
You held my hand and smiled for me
When I hadn’t any smile in store,
You gave me solace when I needed—
We are friends for evermore.
And if it weren’t for you,
My many weathered friend,
My heart would be dead to love
My will to live come to an end.
Now, My Friend
And now, my friend, my many-weathered friend,
While you’ve been sorely tried, you’ve proven true,
So now I give right back to you.
I give you love, I give you pride,
I’ll gladly stand here by your side,
And when you find yourself in need,
I pledge my creed,
You have my helping hand
Against all foes, all woes, all trials…
I’m beside you now, I proudly stand,
You may depend on me.
Not to just return your favours,
But that’s what true friends do.
I am here for you in summer,
I’m here for you in fall,
I’m here for you in springtime,
And I’m here for your winter’s fall.
So here’s to you, you stuck with me,
I stick with you right till the end.
Come whatever weather, my many-weathered friend,
Always you will be my many weather friend.
