THERE ARE NO SHADOWS
Life with no shadows
No fear
No hate
No tear
Except for happiness
It is a dream
But we can dream
Can’t we?
And make it really happen
So says the artist
After 98 years
Worldly wisdom
From the artist’s studio
There are no shadows in an honest life,
There is only the light of enlightenment,
The good life extinguishes all the strife,
That is the goodness, that is what is meant.
“Life is all afloat in this great garden
That is our world.” All is unpredictable.
Sometimes to stay afloat you must bargain,
But you bargain with pure heart unfailable.
Oh, there are those who would buck the trend.
They would stir up evil, mess with your mind,
They would deny you the chance to mend.
They do not know the meaning of the word kind.
There are no shadows upon the soul.
It’s best to live one’s life in the whole.
Even in this worldly bowl, it is best
To hold true to you and pass the test.
The artist paints a world of colors, sheer,
“Everything is floating,” so says the artist,
“That is why there are no shadows” here.
Dance with the colors, sing with the guitarist.
There are no shadows cast in this floating
World of ours. We dream and live in color,
We don’t go down the path of shadows gloating,
That lonely lane would fade our minds much smaller.
